LG Chem intends to invest up to $1.7 billion in expanding its battery factory in Holland by 1.4 million square feet, which is expected to create approximately 1,200 new jobs. The enhanced capacity will cater to the production of large lithium-ion battery cells and packs for electric vehicles, serving customers such as Ford, General Motors and Stellantis.
